Worldview Lenormand Deck: 36 Nonbinary Divination Cards

Woke my bonded copy of worldview lenormand on the Lunar New Year. Here's a video of its unboxing!

Over 12 years ago, i found an old window in the alley behind a Chicago rehab. i brought it home to use as a canvas and discovered a vivid picture appeared in its glass. Mesmerized by the phenomenon, i captured what i saw in the glass on its surface with layers of recycled cardboard and acrylic paint, then promptly returned to the alley to collect the rest of the window/canvas's remaining.

As i continued to paint, capturing the vivid pictures i saw in each window, i would come to discover the images were not simply the manifestation of my own imagination, but were in fact visions of worldview (an otherworld that seems to exist on the other side of the window's resonant glass) placed-there by an enlightened typeface designer named 53947.

For 12 years 53947 has communicated with me by freezing images in over 200 windows. Sometimes they are curated visions of his world and its inhabitants, sometimes reflections of mine. in the resulting paintings, there is always a story to be shared and often a lesson to be learned that i feel improves me as a human being. i would not be who i am today without this bond i have been fortunate to forge.

The central images in worldview lenormand are derived from 12 years of narrative and contains images of two different journeys.

1. 53947 and their quest to re-evaluate an icon that gave him the gift of "the knowledge of everything.

2. a cat named six and its quest to find a self-sufficient way to the top of a tall armchair.

While these narratives may not be necessary for the usage of this divination deck, i feel like they add a voice and color that makes this deck truly unique.

Additionally, as the inhabitants of worldview have never appeared to be gendered, i have taken the liberty of removing traditional Lenormand "the man" and "the lady" cards and replacing them with "the self" and "the other", which i feel not only capture that energy, but ultimately (and importantly to me) make this deck nonbinary.

this deck includes:
*36 Lenormand cards: 2.5"x3.5" (poker size), printed on 310 GSM (grams per square inch) casino paper stock with a linen finish. This is the nicest card stock I can get my hands on --
suitable for daily use,and has a nice 'snap' when you shuffle it.
*a custom Two-Part Box with a velvety-soft coating that makes it a pure delight to hold
*a white book, "primer", that is equally narrative art and includes key words and suggested usage true to the Lenormand tradition.'
