Drop a postcard to say hello to a friend or loved one. Ollie's strange but cute look will help put a smile on their face and/or be a conversation starter. "What the heck is that??" "Axolotl!"

Axolotls are quite readily seen in pet stores in Japan but I have not seen them much elsewhere. An appearance that looks to be a mishmash of salamander/worm/lizard/fish, it's a cute little odd fellow.

The 'Hello' on the front and poem on the back were written with my left hand. I wanted to achieve a juvenile looking font, that also meant not being able to write in a completely straight line but I ended up liking it's overall effect and left it as it was.

The poem on the back:

Pronounced Ax-oh-lot-ul,
Ollie may be a peculiar sight to see,
but his capabilities are really quite cool,
like being able to regrow a lost limb, in it's entirety!

He never grows 'up',
Reaching maturity as a larva,
Originally from Mexico, though now mostly found in labs,
Of this he says, "De eso no se habla."
