This bracelet is made from very pretty Dalmatian jasper 'teeth' beads! Dalmatian jasper has a light gray appearance with irregular flecks/spots black. I've wire-wrapped each one of the beads using 925 sterling silver wire and attached the 15mm to 20mm long stone beads to a sturdy belcher chain, to create this cluster-effect bracelet. The bracelet measures a total of 8"/21 cm and fastens with a large (4.5cm x 3cm /2" x 1.8) handcrafted 925 dragonfly silver toggle & bar clasp. My design process for the clasp was as follows, I carved the body of the dragonfly out of wax before creating a one-off cast using the Delft clay casting technique. I then made the wings out of chunky silver wire and added plenty of texture. The way this clasp works is by sliding the body (bar) of the dragonfly through the space in the middle of the wings (toggle) and thereby creating the dragonfly.This type of large clasp has become a signature part of my bracelets because I really want the clasp to be as much of a feature as the stones themselves. This is quite a substantial bracelet and really fun to wear! All the metal parts of this piece are 925 Sterling Silver.
