Antique Japanese Meiji Period Copper Brass Wash Tray w/ Birds, Please Read Description

Seen similar dishes called Meiji Period and called different metals, like copper bronze brass. First impression bronze with worn copper brass wash but see white color showing through wear on underside so not sure of metal, has nice weight for size, nonmagnetic, so check dish underside pictures. Antique Dish in high relief. Found some fun reading on the Meiji period from the great Wikipedia at bottom of page.

Measures 5 7/8" wide x 4 3/4" and sits around 1/2" tall. Weight is nice for size at 2 1/2 oz. Beautiful detailed raised relief temple image in bowl and top side surrounds temple with dragon and birds in flight. Seen a few of these little Japanese dishes but this one has nice form, deep well with fine details down to the dragons scales.

Unusual Shaped Pin Dish in good condition for age. Has scuffs, scratches, verdigris, tarnishing, greening, and finish wear mostly on bottom, nice Patina and still looks awesome!
