How adorable are these candy bag necklaces?
One of these "trick or treat" pendants would be the perfect addition for your Halloween jewelry collection, or a special gift for a Halloween lover in your life!

They are almost identical except option A) had a mix of black and dark brown copper, which made it look more antique than the others.

I used resin Jack O' Lantern treat bags which I coated in lacquer before adding bails and electroforming in copper.
Once electroformed, I rapidly oxidized the copper with Liver of Sulfur, to pull out rich black tones in the metal.
I added a thin layer of jewelry lacquer that will wear off seamlessly with time.
Patina changes with its surroundings, so it may change slightly over time with wear.
Try not to get your copper wet if possible to avoid additional color change or oxidization.

Jack o' lantern goodie bag pendants measure approx. 1.33" tall and .66" wide at widest parts.

Set on a black coated metal chain, measuring approx. 19.5" in length, including lobster clasp closure and jump ring.
Keep chain dry. Copper pendant will never rust, but chain could rust if left moist.
Colors may vary by screen. Plating may lighten with time.
Please keep in mind that this pendant is created from organic materials and may have imperfections, but that's part of the beauty.
Store in a safe dry place when not wearing.



How did I create this handmade jewelry?

I electroformed my elements in copper using a little bit of electricity and a lot of magic. So many hours and steps go into every piece. It’s truly a labor of love :)
Once my items are properly prepped, they hang in an electrolyte tank, connected to an electric current and copper for 17-36 hours. The copper fuses molecule by molecule, creating strength and unique texture for my adornments. Each time I electroform, the copper forms 100% uniquely. It's science and jewelry design at its best! Electroforming is an ancient technique.

When you wear this necklace, you don't have to worry about anyone else wearing the same thing, it is one of a kind!
Once electroformed, I rapidly oxidized the copper to pull out rich brown tones in the metal. I’ve seen many colors form on top of the copper during this process. Copper is then sealed with a thin layer of jewelry lacquer to give it a slight barrier from moisture and to help seal in the patina after my processes are finished. This lacquer will wear off seamlessly as you wear your jewelry.

Copper is known for reacting to its environment and changing color. This protects it from rusting. It may lighten or darken with time. Keep it dry and do not wear in shower to avoid extra oxidization. Chains may be plated and could rust if left wet. Embrace the color changing effects of copper as you take it on life’s adventures with you. Small polishing pad will be included for any future cleaning needs. This lightens the metal.

All my crystals have been cleansed in moonlight and charged in sunlight. I believe crystals are tools that help bring out the natural magic inside each of us. This usually only happens with rings, but if the pendant ever leaves you with a slight green line, it’s just the metal reacting to moisture. This is how it protects itself and avoids rusting. The green line is harmless and easily washes off with soap and water. Some people believe this is part of copper's healing properties. It's not something that I hear complaints about, but I like to make sure you understand how copper works.
