Are the metals used safe for metal allergies?

Yes! I only use metals least likely to cause a reaction in sensitive ears. Titanium: Only 0.6% of people are allergic to titanium. Unlike cheaper metals labelled "hypoallergenic," these are unalloyed pure titanium, nickel-free, biocompatible and have no trace of irritating metals. Niobium: It is a pure, unalloyed element with no fillers added. To get the gold tone, they have been anodized by passing electrical current through the wire, so no additional materials are used in their production.

Store in a clean, dry place away from direct light. Avoid exposing to perfumes and lotions, as these can damage polymer clay. Clean make up, dirt or oil buildup with soap and water using a soft cloth. Please avoid using solvents. Remove before sleeping, swimming or showering. Polymer clay is a durable and flexible material, but don’t try to bend it to see how far it will go – this may break it! Delicate parts that protrude may break off if dropped, or stored in such a way that they could be broken off by other items.

What is included in the displayed price?

For AMERICAN and INTERNATIONAL customers: Price displayed is the product price. Applicable taxes will be added by Etsy at checkout. For customers in CANADA: Price displayed includes GST/HST. Etsy will charge PST/QST/RST at checkout.

Can the earrings be modified to clip-on?

Yes, most earrings can be fitted with clip-ons. They will be slightly larger at the earlobe, as the clip-on itself is larger than a typical post, but for most earrings it is doable at no extra charge. Feel free to send me a note with your order, or inquire beforehand to be sure.

Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery, and returned within 30 days. No refunds on custom orders. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs to my Canadian address as discussed at the time of requesting a refund. Buyer is responsible for loss in value (as agreed upon with seller) if an item isn’t returned in original condition. Item price paid will be refunded upon receipt of the return.

Will there be tariffs on purchases made from this shop for US customers?

These earrings are little artistic vignettes featuring tiny Belted Kingfishers that have been delicately sculpted and hand painted, resting on a branch. Intricately detailed and one of a kind, they are a great gift for a bird lover, naturalist, Audubon enthusiast, friend, loved one, or yourself.

All designs are 100% handmade using the highest quality polymer clay. Polymer clay is a lightweight, flexible and durable material that will look great for a lifetime with proper care.

POSTS:
Only 0.6% of people are allergic to titanium, so it is safe for even the most sensitive ears. Posts are buried in the stud using liquid polymer clay and re-baked for maximum comfort.

BACKS:
Backs are made of clear silicone. I do not use any metal butterflies due to metal sensitivities, as even those labelled hypoallergenic cause reactions.
