The ninth animal in the Chinese Zodiac is 'Hou: The Monkey'. This original linoleum block print shows the clever and mischievous primate suspended by his tail so he can catch the Chinese character 'Hou' in his hands. The print is limited to an edition of 30. The hand-carved block is inked with environmentally-friendly water-based inks and burnished (also by hand) onto Japanese kozo (or mulberry) paper. The prints are 8" by 12" (20.3 cm by 30.5 cm).
