In Southern Africa we encountered families who create unique fabrics. Freshly dyed, dried in the sun, touched by leaves and blossoms. This is how the distinctive patterns are born. Every piece is unique. In the final step, delicate silver-toned ornaments are printed onto the fabric by hand.

From these sun-dried fabrics we create this wrap bracelet. At its centre rests a large Hakuna Matata coin made from silver-plated brass. Calm, present and substantial. The phrase “Hakuna Matata” comes from Swahili and literally means. “There are no problems.” Or simply said. “All is well.” In Africa, this is more than a saying. It is a way of life. Smiling even when it feels difficult. Letting go. Trusting.
