What if my mold arrives and it is chipped or broken?

Our molds are inspected multiple times and packed securely using new boxes and materials. Once given to the shipper, it is out of our control if damage occurs. However, if you receive a mold that was damaged notify us within 48 hours, providing pictures of all box sides, inner packaging materials, and mold (RETAIN BOX AND ALL MATERIALS UNTIL CLAIM IS SETTLED). If damage appears to be due to the shipping company, a claim will be filed. PLEASE NOTE: If photos of the mold(s), box, and packaging materials are not provided, a replacement WILL NOT BE GIVEN. If we are not notified within the time frame, and photos are not received, we will assume your purchase arrived safely.

What if there are discolored spots on the mold I received?

Please be aware that molds made from metal forms can cause some small spots of discoloration due to the curing process of the plaster. This is a rare occurrence. However, if it does, it will in no way affect the use of the mold or the clay. We do not consider these slights as defects. It is considered a good, working mold.

Do you accept custom mold requests?

While we do not do custom molds or slip-casting molds, please feel free to inquire if there is not one listed you need. We may be able to help!

I need a mold in a hurry! Can you expedite processing?

While we understand some may want to receive an order more quickly than the lead-time, to be fair to all, we operate on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. We process in the order that a purchase was received. There may be occasions when a smaller mold dries more quickly than a large one and the small order gets shipped before the larger one... but that is not always the case. It also depends on the current workload and the weather. While we strive to make, dry, and ship molds as quickly as possible, please factor in the allotted lead-time when ordering. Thank you!

Can you combine items to save on shipping?

It depends on the mold sizes, shapes, etc. When possible, we will combine items and give a partial refund for some of the shipping, if applicable.

I am a local. May I pick-up my order to save on shipping?

Absolutely! Simply place your order as usual and note the following in the comment box... "Local pick-up requested." Once your order has been made and dry, we will contact you to arrange pick-up. Once picked up, we will refund the shipping cost you paid via Etsy. Please note: If a response to arrange pick-up has not been received by the shipping date deadline, your order will be shipped and no shipping refund given.
