Cat Quilt Block Pattern: Machine Pieced Kitty (PDF Download)

BLOCK SIZE: 12" square (excluding seam allowances)

TECHNIQUE: machine piecing using squares and rectangles. The pattern contains instructions for cutting out the pieces using a rotary cutter and quilting ruler. It does not contain actual size templates.

SKILL LEVEL:
Suitable for those who have some experience with cutting, piecing and following a pattern.
This pattern does contain several small pieces (smallest is 1" square). As with all patchwork, for best results, cut and piece accurately.

DESCRIPTION:
This gorgeous block can be used to make any amount of home decor items from pillows to table runners to wall hangings. Have fun personalising your kitty. You can use the blank templates provided to test out different colour schemes.

The kitty cat block is machine pieced using basic patchwork techniques e.g. half square triangles. The pattern includes instructions to make both a left and right facing cat.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive a thirteen page kitty cat quilt block pdf pattern with detailed instructions, illustrated where necessary. You will be able to make a left or right facing cat. The different options make the pattern much more versatile as the cats look fantastic when sewn together to make a wall hanging, lap quilt or table runner.

The pattern includes advice on choosing fabrics, a cutting chart, detailed step-by-step instructions which are illustrated where necessary and two large coloured diagrams to visually illustrate how the left and right facing cat blocks are constructed. There are also two blank templates for you to test out colour options.

The kitty cat pattern goes really well with the puppy dog block which is shown in the last photo.
