All handmade to order by us in our little workshop in the Scottish Highlands!
These beautiful rings are made from oak previously used by Johnnie Walker to age components of their Scotch Whisky. Whilst we can't be sure of its age, the metal stamped badge shows that this was from their Kilmarnock distillery which ceased production in 2012, after being in operation for 192 years.

No two rings will be the same, each are completely unique due to the grain in the wood. However what you will receive is similar to what you see in the photos and all rings come in a simple handmade cask oak box as standard. You can upgrade to our premium magnetised, layered cask oak box, with or without personalisation (be it a logo, geo coordinates, dates or initials).
Please note that there may be slight variations in colours and hues due to their organic nature as well as the brightness of screens being used to view the listing images.

Due to the sheer number of possible combinations, we make each ring to order as there’s just the 2 of us makers! Hence the required processing time.

PROCESSING TIMES: 3 weeks unless otherwise specified

RING CARE: Each ring is reinforced with UV resin to strengthen the ring structure and make it waterproof. Please avoid contact with harsh chemicals, extreme temperature variations and remove when doing any DIY, (incl gardening, gym, bike rides etc) to help with longevity and avoid damage.
Naturally, a wooden ring is far more delicate than a metal ring and needs to be treated with care. If it becomes damaged or chipped over time please get in touch as offer a re-coat service. Any fees applied will depend on the damage.

RING SIZES: Please view Official International Ring Size Chart at http://ringsizes.co/ to confirm your size.
PLEASE NOTE: The wider the ring the tighter the fit so ensure an appropriate width tool/ring is used for sizing. Measure late in the day when hands are warm and stable. You’re looking for easy movement over the knuckle but not flying off when waving your hand. We highly recommend you confirm your size at a jeweller and advise them of the ring width you’re after but if you have any questions please get in touch we will gladly help!

RESIZE SERVICE: We offer a one time resize service, we simply require the ring back in its original condition and we charge a resize fee plus postage.

POSTAGE: UK orders come with complimentary Tracked 48 shipping, expedited option available at checkout.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTICE: Postal services globally are still struggling to return to pre Covid conditions. If you are ordering from outside the UK please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. We thank you for your patience!

The ring was a replacement for my husbands original wedding band we got from the same Slate Road Design. It was not Slate Road Design fault for the ring breaking, just a pair of steel toes boots landing in the right spot. They quickly emailed us when I reorder the ring to make sure everything was okay with the original ring. They have some of the best customer service on Etsy. We love the design and the lightweight of the ring. If you are thinking about it, just buy it. It's a great everyday ring to wear.
