Handmade

This felting sampler contains eight varying shades of purple wool for needle felting. The roving balls around .15 oz in weight, making the sampler around 1.2-1.3 oz in total. The colors in this sampler will vary based on current stock available and various dye lots, but will generally include two light shades, to medium light shades, two medium dark shades, and two dark shades.

This Romney wool comes from sheep that are specially bred at Bear Creek Ranch for their needle felting quality wool and is the secret to felting dense creations that will last a lifetime. All wool is processed on site at our fiber mill in Nome, ND.

I am afraid I do not do custom work. I did for awhile and found that it was more stressful and took the fun out of what I do. I have found that I can do better work on an animal that I am inspired to make.

That said, I do take requests. I love to hear what my customers would like me to make. I can't guarantee that I will make it but sometimes I am inspired by a request. I keep a list of requests and check it often when deciding what I would like to make next. If you have pictures that is even more inspiring.

I try to notify the person that has made the request when I make that particular animal. I post all my new works on my Facebook page, plus I send out an email newsletter.

All of my kits are designed for beginners. You will be able to complete these kits even if you have never even heard of felting before. Beginners can do any of the kits but I have ordered them in order of difficulty here:
