Making a vat of Indigo from dry leaves is a unique and complete experience linked to nature.
It’s a pleasure to see the indigo blue coming straight from the leaf.
This gives us a completely different understanding of Indigo dyeing.
This color no longer comes just from a powder, even if it is natural, but comes from the plant world.
Japanese Indigo leaves (Persicaria tinctoria) from our garden specializing in dye plants
We do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides in growing our plants
You must create a vat of indigo from these dry leaves to extract the blue.
If you need the necessary products or explanations, you should purchase one of our Indigo Kit in our store.
Here, it's just the leaves.
100g of leaves will dye approximately 300g of fiber a dark blue (3 soaks) and more if dyeing lighter shades.
You can dye cellulosic fibers - linen, cotton, hemp and protein fibers - wool and silk
