This was a little self initiated project that came from wanting to learn about the process of the Risograph. At the time I was studying the psychology of shape and colour. I came up with these 3 designs based on a mix of my research, taking part in forums about mental health and daily issues. Their purpose is to provide motivation or a little humour and colour to any environment and to remind ourselves that we need to give ourselves a break

WHAT IS RISO ?

Invented in the 1980's in Japan, A risograph machine is a way to print economically.
It is still used by artists and designers today for its vibrant and paint like aesthetic.
Riso printers employ a similar process to that of silk screening with stencils and layers of ink.
