Highlights
Mid Century Style Queer Art 32" x 38"
I've been thinking a lot about road trips and Summer flings lately. Maybe it's from living Arizona again and my head being flooded with memories of road trips from San Diego to Tucson. The sun setting while you zoom through the desert, music blasting and a cute boy riding along beside you.
I decided to illustrate these memories through two of my vintage style stencils. I took two casually dressed summer style boys, and sprayed them in red and black paint against a background of copper and cream washes and disintegrating text. It's a sort of sweet nostalgia overload. Plus some sensual suggestion and romantic overtones.
24" x 30" canvas secured into a 32" x 38" distressed gold wooden frame. The frame adds a bit of visual weight to the overall piece, with the distressed metallic finish matching both the painting's background and it's warmer tones. Hardware attached, ready to hang!
*Please understand that while I do my absolute best to match the colors in the photo to the actual painting, no two monitors are the same and there may be a very slight color variation. If you have any questions or would like to see additional photos please let me know.
