The Conscious Clothing Collection is made of raw silk, hand spun and handwoven the good old fashioned way, by women in tribal areas of rural India. Using a hand loom means no electricity, no pollution!

Part of the joy of holding this khadi silk in our hands is feeling the energy of a human-made product, witnessing the little ‘imperfections’ that come with this process, the joy of going back to a time when industrial machines hadn’t taken over our lives. No two parts of the cloth will ever be identical. And because the quantities come to me in small batches, the colours always differ slightly. At the moment, the range of availabilities goes from blue to green to turquoise to khaki, in limited quantities. I choose from whatever is available at the moment.
