Difference between elastic yarn and cotton yarn

I mostly work with two materials for tops and bikinis. One is 100% cotton yarn, which looks more bohemian and rustic, and is very comfortable to wear as it holds its shape better, but might get a bit heavy in the water. I also work with elastic yarn, which is 92% Microfiber. This acrylic yarn is stretchy and keeps its shape much better in the water and also dries quicker. It's lighter and thinner, which means that the stitches might separate when stretched. Lining is recommended with this yarn.

Fo bikini top sizes, measure your favorite bikini and compare it to the chart provided in the listing pictures. Choose the one that is the most similar in size. You can also measure your BUST (over your breasts through your nipple and around your body) and your UNDERBUST (right under your breasts around your body) and include these measurements in your order. I can then figure out your bra size from there. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding sizing. I want to make sure that your garment fits perfectly.

Sestra, which means “sister” in Slavic languages, is a simple bonnet that is perfect for the whole family. It has an interesting construction that is fun to make and lovely to wear. It is completely seamless and, thanks to short rows, it has tighter elastic ribbing at the back for a better fit around the head, which means warm ears and a bonnet that stays put! The pattern is designed for the bonnet to be made with the yarn weight of your choice. Using fingering weight yarn will make for a lighter more delicate bonnet, while worsted weight yarn will create a thick fabric for colder days. Perfect for digging into your stash.

YARN: Due to the nature of this pattern, any weight of yarn will work.
The following are approximate amounts in common yarn weights.
Fingering weight yarn: 140 - 220 m
DK weight yarn: 130 - 190 m
Worsted weight yarn: 120 - 160 m
Brown sample used MillaMia, Naturally Baby Soft, Fingering weight (50% Cotton, 50% Soy).
Purple sample used Sirdar, Country Classic Worsted, Worsted weight (50% Acrylic, 50% Wool).

This pattern comes in 5 different sizes: Preemie (Newborn, Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult).

For head circumference of 35.5 (43, 45.7, 48, 50.8,
54.6) cm / 14 (17, 18, 19, 20, 21.5) inches.

Ah I absolutely loved this pattern. In the beginning I didn’t read the whole pattern so it was confusing once I read it, it made perfect sense. And the bonnet turned out so perfect fit like a glove!
