At Our Friendly World, we believe it is important to be conscious of the materials we use, and we always strive to use the most sustainable options in our craft. This way, the handmade item can be wonderful for you and the planet! The wool yarn in your kit is OEKO-TEX Certified Standard 100, meaning it has been certifiably tested and cleared of any chemicals harmful to human health. The tools in your kit are made of wood, metal and/or paper. Plastic waste is completely avoided with the sustainable and recyclable packaging. Protecting the planet is very important, and we want to give you the peace of mind of crafting sustainably!

This kit comes with enough materials to make at least 1 stuffed animal. You may double up your yarn to make one large pup, or you can choose to use one strand of yarn at a time to make multiple smaller stuffed animals. You may need to provide your own additional stuffing if you choose to make more than one animal.

Color Options:
You may choose from one of the curated color combinations listed, or you may opt to pick your own. If you would like custom colors, please leave the name and corresponding number of each in the personalization box. You may pick two colors, and will receive one skein of each. If you are interested in additional yarn, please feel free to message me.

The pattern will take you through the materials and specifications of your pattern, and the step by step process of creating your items. If this is your first time crocheting, the Learn to Crochet Video Guide will walk you through each step of creating your very first crochet project!

Gauge:
Please be aware that this pattern is designed to achieve two different sizes. The smaller version of this pattern was designed with worsted weight yarn and a 3.5 mm hook, that achieved a puppy about 6 inches tall when finished.

A larger pup was designed with two strands of worsted weight yarn held double as if to be one thicker strand of yarn, and a 6mm crochet hook to achieve a dog about 10 inches tall when finished.

Matching these specific gauges is not a necessity and can be adjusted to make your dogs whatever size you like. Every person who crochets naturally works with a different tension, and the hook size, yarn weight and gauge can be adjusted to make your item larger or smaller.
The hook optionally provided in this kit is a standard size and is not guaranteed to obtain this gauge for every crafter.
