Soak pieces in white vinegar for three minutes before rinsing and towel-drying. This helps remove hard-water spots.
Remove coffee stains by rubbing a paste of baking soda and water over the area before rinsing and drying.
For stubborn stains, use a little Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser or any not too abrasive powder.
All dinnerware is microwavable, dishwasher safe and oven safe. DO NOT USE UNDER BROILER or for a long time at EXTREME TEMPERATURES.
MATERIALS USED FOR DINNERWARE
MATTE CERAMIC POTTERY
PROVECHO dinnerware is handmade ceramic using custom molds in the Mexican traditional process of molding, air-drying, kiln firing, smoothing, adding glaze and firing again. The colors of San Miguel are our creative inspiration.
PROVECHO Ceramic Pottery is made of sand and natural products that when chemically combined and heated, react to create strong products and impressive colors.
MATTE FINISH
Matte finishes are smooth because the sand particles melt into glass, and the smoothness of the glaze is not affected by light reflecting properties. A matte finish glaze uses larger sand particles than a glossy finish glaze. This type of finish feels smooth once fired. The larger particles melt and form a glass that bonds directly with the ceramic piece creating a tough outer coating for protection.
RAW MATERIALS FOR PROVECHO
Clay mineral Kaolinite, a layered silicate clay mineral that forms from the chemical weathering of feldspar (a rock-forming mineral consisting of alumina silicates of potassium, sodium and calcium). Alumina is aluminum oxide with silica, it is the most important component in the constitution of clays and enamels And of course, NO LEAD!
