Resin-Coated Premium Altoids Watercolor Mixing Trays

This resin-coated 3D printed mixing tray is perfect for mixing watercolors either at home or while painting out and about. I design and print these mixing trays myself in house. The resin-coating on these mixing trays gives a smooth glassy finish, making color mixing an absolute dream!

Size:
This mixing tray easily fits inside any standard Altoids tin and, more importantly, is easily removed. Additionally, it is approximately 3mm deep, the same size as my dot cards; that means two of these can be included with any of my other palette inserts in an Altoids tin.

Material:
This mixing tray is printed with the highest-quality PLA+ plastic I can get my hands on, a very sturdy and environmentally friendly material. The mixing area is hand-coated with a clear resin for superior color mixing. The color is cool white, which gives you the best representation of what the color looks like before putting it on your paper.

NOTE: I have had several people enquire about permanently attaching these trays to the inside of an Altoids tin. They are not designed to be attached this way and may prevent the Altoids tin lid from closing. My recommendation would be to glue tiny magnets to the back of the mixing tray to magnetize it to the lid during use.

NOTE: These trays are coated with UV resin. Resin is a type of plastic and ultimately will stain with use. Some watercolors have a higher stain rate than others so you may see different results depending on what you paint with. Though the trays may stain, this will not interfere with the mixing capabilities of the trays. For a non staining surface you would want to work with porcelain or ceramic. These resin coated trays are ideal for on the go or plein air painting due to their durable and lightweight features.
