To keep mat clean shake often.
To preserve your mat it is best to keep in a sheltered area such as a garage, patio, porch, covered entryway or similar where it is not getting saturated with rain, snow, sprinklers, etc. Just like the coir doormats at your local home decor store, if saturated with water the coir fibers may look darker brown.

The length of the life of your doormat depends on how you take care of it.
Our designs are durable, however, understand that coir doormats are not meant to last forever. Our goal is to offer the best quality hand-crafted doormats. We suggest replacing your doormat every few months as doormats tend to be a seasonal item. We are always adding more items so be sure to check back here for our new designs :)

Only reason I’m leaving 4 stars is because this item arrived later than estimated and after I really needed it. The item is great quality and cute through. Just sad I didn’t have it for the surprise housewarming party.
