Made from reclaimed scaffold boards. Large / wide boards jointed using biscuits and high-strength glue. Each piece is hand-cut, sanded, and treated for each order, preserving the timber's natural markings for a unique style. If we need to, we use wood filler to fix big and small gaps, cracks, and holes while keeping a rustic look. As wood is a natural product, it can vary in cracks, grain, and other features. Movements like shrinkage, swelling, and cracking are normal and not considered defects, hence not covered by the lifetime guarantee. Environmental factors such as seasons, temperatures, and humidity may cause adjustments, which we cannot be responsible for.

This guarantee covers normal domestic use only, commercial use is not covered; it does not cover faults caused by, willful damage, neglect, misuse, inappropriate cleaning, accidental damage & bespoke items. It also doesn't include water damage and other events outside Custom Furniture’s control. Any product which is exposed to extreme heat, i.e., An open fire, or radiator, etc. can cause distortion in the wood which will not be covered under this guarantee. The guarantee is only valid for products purchased, installed and used in the United Kingdom.

Please reach out to us to inquire about any potential additional costs for heavy or large items! Orders for items larger than what can be shipped outside the UK will be refunded, as we can't courier them currently. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes. We do not collect these fees; they are governed by your country's regulations. By purchasing, you agree to pay these fees. If customs fees are unpaid after shipping, we will deduct them from your refund. We are not liable for delays caused by customs. Please allow an extra 1-3 working days delivery for the UK and up to 7 days delivery for Europe. If you are ordering from outside the UK, please leave a note with your telephone number so we can provide this to the courier.

You may terminate the contract (return your order), but only after paying any additional delivery or collection fees and a 25% restocking fee. This is entirely at our discretion. * On-sale/clearance items are non-returnable unless you decide to exchange them, in that case, you simply need to cover the cost of return and supply a new shipping label. That means no - 25% off since the customer is in charge of both costs.

When viewing items online, colours can vary from one screen to another. Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colours. In addition, wooden furniture will naturally have slight variations from one piece to another. Whilst every effort is made to match all colours and finishes, the variations mentioned are normal and do not constitute manufacturing faults.

If you would like your metal item coloured, please purchase this at the same time, stating the colour that you would like from the options above. This is a fixed price regardless of size, as the bulk of the cost is in the curing time & and cleaning of equipment. Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat. Because no carrier fluid evaporates away, the coating process emits a few volatile organic compounds (VOC). It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

I ordered a specific. Sized piece of wood. Antique stain. It’s a new piece of wood. And very pale. But I had a darker stain which I applied two coats to and now it’s perfect! Good value and perfect size. Be prepared to treat to suit your colour.

This is a decent quality piece of wood but it is not rustic, it is just a plank of pine timber. It is also sold as ‘finished’ but if there is a finish it is not obvious and definitely does not match the colour of the finish I chose. I did contact the seller but there was no response.

I asked for custom size and it was a very accurate match - all ok and received on time. The only small issue is the stain colour - quite different what I was imagining it would be. Meant to be light walnut witch I though is a brown shade but it is a bitt too read. I would advise future buyers to order unstained and stain yourself - it is hard to guess by the picture on the screen. The colour in my cases actually still ok and works - so it didn't matter to me, hence all 5*

These shelves are like new boards with no character, definitely not reclaimed scaffold boards. Seller didn’t want to know even though I sent photos. You may as well buy timber from building merchant and stain your own boards for half the money. Very expensive mistake
