Highlights
Scottish style fire strikers, some call them snails others call them rams head. They come in 3 variations on the eye stalk, depending on if you want no eye, the eye to face forward, or back towards the shell. Available with or without flint included.
I make them from W-1 steel. They throw sparks beautifully even after tempering the hardness back slightly to make them less brittle, and I test each one with flint myself.

I am an expert with flint and steel fire making. It is my preferred method and I've been doing it for decades. This one took a bit of breaking in but, it does work great once you do break it in. The chert chip wasn't as great but, it does work. I have already successfully made a fire with this flint and steel. It even came with a piece of cloth that can be charred. Customer service is great and shipping was fast. This striker is small but, there is plenty to hold on to.
