Pikal knife alert: Big Box stores offer budget friendly paring knives that can be great for general utility... as long as you can find a safe way to pack them in your lunch or carry them around the house.
I take a Big Box paring knife with a plastic handle and a 3.5 inch blade (plain, not serrated) and make a Kydex sheath for it. I add a paracord static line lanyard with a skull bead for a little personality.
This makes the knife easy to carry and use for anything you might need it to do. It's cheap, it's well made, and it's extremely handy.
All my work ships out of the shop with my business card, containing my phone number, address, and email. If you aren't happy with your purchase, if it doesn't fit just like you want it to, or you want it adjusted for any reason, all you have to do is contact me. I'll replace any product FREE to make sure you're happy. Sheaths sometimes constrict in shipping but, more importantly, some users prefer a tight sheath and others prefer a very loose one. If you buy just the sheath, it may or may not fit your knife exactly the way it did the knife I used to mold it. All this is normal when it comes to Kydex, and I'm happy to work with you to get you what you want.
Please be advised, too, that these are all handmade. Your model may vary slightly from the one pictured, and multiple items will vary when compared to each other.
Please be advised also that Kydex, by its nature, tends to scratch knife blades. These knives are sold as "users" and Kydex is intended for that purpose. Cosmetic scratching is normal. Also, if your sheath is a little tight at first, drawing and reinserting the knife repeatedly will loosen it up, as the soft plastic of the handle starts to wear compared to the harder thermoplastic of the Kydex. This, too, is normal.
The knife is made overseas, but the sheath is handmade one hundred percent by me, just one guy with a foam-board press and a griddle to heat the Kydex. It's ready to go out of the box and you could configure it for any utility chore.
