Yoniflower Painting: "Stormy Twilight" (Crepusculum Nimboso)

Yoniflowers are imaginary flowers inspired by real women's bodies. They celebrate the beauty and sacredness of our sexuality.

The "Erotic Botanicals" series evokes the watercolor studies of the Victorian naturalists, with a feminist twist. Each flower is given an invented “Latin” species name, as if it were a real botanical specimen.

Painted in watercolor with rich ultramarine and periwinkle hues. The barest hint of red glows in the shadows. Reproduced on luscious watercolor paper using giclee printing technology. This archival print looks just like an original.

I dreamed of this Yoniflower while gazing across the deep waters of the Salish Sea on a windy day. Sometimes we are turbulent, but there’s beauty in the storm.
