***Please note that gilt edging, while adding a beautiful sparkle to the cards, is delicate and will wear over time. Minor wear and tear of the cards is to be expected with regular use. The only way to completely avoid this is to treat the deck as a collectible and to not use it. If you'd like to prolong the quality of the gilding I recommend avoiding harsh shuffling techniques like the riffle shuffle, and instead more gentle methods like the waterfall or overhand technique.

The card borders also have a printed texture overlay, so they are not a solid color but have some printed 'imperfections' to tie together the slightly rustic/earthy feeling of the deck. Please know that these are not actual imperfections in the cards.***
