Why can’t I open my file?

Occasionally after downloading, you might get a pop up on your computer informing you that that the files cannot be extracted or unzipped, fear not it’s quite a common blip and an easy fix. It is usually because the file doesn’t like the location on your computer, simply move the zipped file to another location on your computer before unzipping and this should solve the problem quite easily. If you still run into problems you can simply drop us a message and we will do everything we can to find you a solution to your problem.

Why are my score lines showing as cut lines in design space?

Due to Cricut updates it’s no longer possible for us to get score lines uploaded into design space, so these will have to be set up manually. All you need to do is follow these quick easy steps First you want to ungroup the file so you can work on the score lines only. Click on the piece then select ACTIONS>UNGROUP. then you want to select only the layer you want to convert to score lines then EDIT>OPERATION then from the drop down menu select SCORE then APPLY. Next drag your cursor over both the cut and score lines then click ACTIONS>ATTACH. It’s important to click attach rather than group other wise your score lines and cut lines won’t work as one piece. I want to use one of the no score files but there are no score lines?

My NO SCORE SVG cut files are what are known as compound pieces. This means the dashed lines and cut lines are one single piece with only one layer. this means sometimes when taking a no score file into silhouette or scanncut you cannot see the dashed lines but they are there and shouldn’t cause any problems when running the cut file. They do not need to be converted, the score lines will simply be cut as a series of little dashes which you can then fold into place
