* Pastel technique, as well as Charcoal painting, are classic artistic means of expression that you have seen in the museum exhibitions of great masters. The first famous artist to use pastels was Leonardo da Vinci. In 1499 he was commissioned to paint a portrait of Isabel d'Este, Duchess of Mantina. He used what he called the "dry color method" when he created this work using black and red charcoal, with flashes of yellow. During the Renaissance and in modern times, pastel technique is a means of expression used by many artists such as Rosalba Carriera, a Venetian artist, Edward Degas, a prominent French Impressionist, and Pennsylvania born artist - Merry Cassat. She was a world-renowned artist, that painted intimate family moments in the form of dry pastel portraits.

🌺Your portrait will be painted by an Artist with a full academic course of study and with over 30 years of experience as a Professional Artist in portrait painting.

* Important ❗ ❗ Please keep in mind that the quality of the photos that I work with is a factor for a quality portrait !! A quality picture guarantees a quality portrait. Please send me the original files and not screengrabs/screenshots. A blurry image gives me little information about the details and the true character of the person. It's a good idea to send more photos and discuss the most appropriate ones together. I am always looking for a dialogue with my clients in order to be precise in meeting their ultimate expectations. It is good to discuss together the size of your portrait in accordance with your idea.

* If you have a different idea about a painting that is not a portrait (for example your house, your car or a landscape), I will be happy to hear it and paint it.

* If you do not find the size you want in the drop-down menu, I can offer a size based on your individual request.

* The materials used are of high quality - Rembrandt, Schmincke, professional paper.

🌺 Shipping is Free for you and takes 2-4 business days to Europe and the US, Australia and others over longer distances from 4 to 7 days. For delivery I use DHL as the fastest and safest courier. Thank you for the trust and the chance to create a picture that will make you happy!

* Pastel technique and charcoal, is good to be put in a frame with glass on the front in order to preserve the portrait. The portrait is sent rolled in a carboard tube.
🌺 How long does it take to draw? Usually the processing time is 7-14 days, maybe sooner, depending on my work load. If the portrait has an exact date, I will take care of that so that it is with you in time.
