The Bola basket was handmade by a family business in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
Material:
The flexible seagrass can easily be reshaped by hand. The natural materials for our products come exclusively from countries with a long tradition of using them and where their raw materials are naturally found. Our home accessories are vegan and made without animal products. This sustainable and ecologically sound production method protects living beings and the environment.

Special characteristics of seagrass
With seagrass, the fresher the fiber, the greener it is. This means our seagrass home accessories may initially appear greenish. Over time, however, the fresh green fades to a modern beige as the material is lightened by sunlight. The sustainable fiber feels like fresh hay – it's more robust and firmer than a fabric fiber and also less prone to staining. In addition to its classic uses in the living room, kitchen, and other spaces, our seagrass products can also be used in the bathroom and outdoors. Just be sure not to immerse them in water and allow them to dry thoroughly if they get damp.

Origin: Ninh Bin, Vietnam
Our seaweed products are made in a small family-run workshop in Vietnam. The focus of our partnership is the protection of natural resources and the promotion of a sustainable lifestyle. The workshop originated from an initiative of women from a village near Ninh Binh – the region with the oldest seaweed tradition in Vietnam. The weavers told us that their work gives them self-confidence and provides them with a place to connect with one another. They can pursue a task that preserves the traditions of their Vietnamese culture.
