An incredible modernist amethyst cluster ring set in solid 14k gold. Features a men's style square-top ring face with 9 round-cut purple amethyst stones arranged in a 3 x 3 grid. Of note on this piece is the four 'Van Cleef & Arpels' style clover-shaped prong set around the middle stone.

The previous owner said they purchased this ring from Germany, and the inner band has been inscribed with an asterisk symbol makers mark and 585 hallmark, but we were unable to identify/confirm it's age or designer.

The amethyst gemstones are genuine and the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. There is some notable wear and minor shifting to some of the stones, but they all remain secure in their original settings. Overall in great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
