Pashmina comes from a rare mountain goat that lives in the Himalayas at 5000 meters altitude. The altitude and extreme cold in the unforgiving mountainous area, stimulate the growth of the undercoat of this goat. The fiber of his coat is eight times warmer than sheep's wool and only 12 microns wide, making it about 5 times finer than human hair.

The wool is so incredibly thin that you can't weave it mechanically. Pashmina is therefore always a product of true craftsmanship: only highly skilled crafworkers can transform the scarf with their refined hand weaving techniques into a scarf of royal allure.
