This listing is for an original hand painted ‘Children of the Sun’ watercolour design on handmade ‘Khadi’ paper, with hand-stitched gold thread embroidery embellishment. (The images here were from a private commission but I will do my best to match them unless otherwise requested).

Designed myself, using professional materials throughout the process, each piece is created and painted by hand with a variety of pigment watercolours, making it as wonderfully unique as the person receiving it!

~ Artwork is on the utterly unique handmade Khadi ® papers – 320gsm and made from 100% long fibred cotton rag. Khadi ® create beautiful, ethically sourced papers and has set up its own handmade paper mill in Karnataka, South India. Created with the help of hundreds of years of local tradition, it is an authentically unique surface for every sheet;

~ The Sennelier watercolour paints I use have been produced in the same way for more than a century using the best pigments, resulting in an unrivalled intensity and liveliness of colour;

Signed and dated (on the back) the artwork is unframed so that you can select a frame to suit your special space.

If you would like to send it to the recipient directly, I am happy to include a short handwritten note (modern calligraphy style on fine notepaper) and will present it together in tissue paper sealed with a painted sticker.
