Essential Oil Tips: My rose oil won’t come out of the bottle

Rose oil crystallises in lower temperature, if your rose essential oil is having a shy moment and won’t come out of the bottle, this is a good thing. The presence of plant waxes in the oil is what causes it go solid and this is also a sign of a genuine steam-distilled rose essential oil. If it doesn’t start to crystallise then that could be a sign of adulteration. Don’t worry, Pure Rose oil does solidify or crystallize at cooler temperatures, generally below 20°C (68°F). This is a natural occurrence and a sign of high-quality, pure rose essential. Gentle warming is needed, all you need to do is just keep the oil for a while in warm area or warm your oil slightly, give your bottle a shake (with a cap on) and it will flow again.

Our Osmanthus blossoms oil is a seasonal oil, Produced once in a year (June- end of September). Osmanthus oil is intense, very rich, sweet, fruity-floral aroma has honeyed apricot fresh aroma of Osmanthus sweet aroma. Co2 extraction is very rare as this is very labour intensive and costly process.
Osmanthus CO2 extraction is much more pleasant and sweeter than Osmanthus absolute without leather like undertone which absolute has. Co2 extracted oil is clear and clean transparent liquid and has very fresh strong sweet scent of actual flowers.

CO2 Extraction: Unlike absolutes, this is not solvent extracted. Instead of hexane, they are extracted using CO2 (carbon dioxide) gas under pressure at ambient temperatures. The advantage of this method of extraction is that the CO2 quickly and completely evaporates, leaving no residue. this process does not require heat and high pressure. The outcome of this method has often an aroma closer to the natural plant than a steam distilled essential oil.
