I highly suggest using a thrifted quilt to keep textile waste out of the land fill.

*Pattern Backstory*
I first made this jacket as a Christmas present for my girlfriend using a combination of three different jackets and sweatshirts I had. I wanted it to be simple enough to replicate multiple times, but meaningful and customizable at the same time, so I let her pick out the buttons that I hand sewed on.
I hope this pattern allows you to spread joy in your life whether that is to keep for yourself, give to a loved one, or even a stranger:)
