Outstanding Victorian antique advertising Etui/Sewing companion complete with thread, needles, thimble and thread winder
The thimble and thread case both have use Hudson Soaps embossed into the metal
They fit perfectly together to secure the needle case and contents
The thread holder still retains much of it’s original thread and the inside casing still has two needles
Advertising “Use Hudsons Soaps” the company was Established in 1837 and disappeared in 1935 it was also renowned for being an innovator in Advertising during the Victorian period
Seldom found complete and in such Excellent clean condition this example has only very light handling wear with no rust or discolouration to the patina of the metal
A lovely piece of advertising history and a fantastic piece of Victorian ingenuity and functionality
An unusual find and a real collectors piece it would make a fantastic addition to a sewing, thimble or Victorian collection
