Are these maps raised relief maps or 3D printed?

These are not 3D maps. They are 2D maps printed on a flat paper.

Can I request a custom map?

What's the procedure if my order arrives in a damaged condition?

Rest assured, we have a policy of promptly replacing any prints or frames that sustain damage during shipping. If your item arrives damaged, kindly share images with us through Etsy messenger. We'll initiate a claim on your behalf and arrange for a replacement at absolutely no cost to you. Important to note that It's crucial to report any damaged items within 30 days of delivery to ensure we can assist you effectively.

What should I do if my package is being sent back to the sender?

The 1916 geological survey of Texas, digitally restored and rebuilt over real elevation data. The same colours the surveyors chose, sitting on the actual shape of the state.

I hold a PhD in earth science and work as a geomorphologist and cartographer. I build the relief from raw elevation measurements rather than tracing it, which is why the landforms hold up when you look closely. Light, relief and colour are pushed and pulled until the terrain owns the print and the styling stays quiet behind it.

• This is a flat 2D print on paper. The 3D depth you see comes from light and shadow painted into the artwork itself, nothing on the paper is raised or embossed
• One paper, chosen so there is nothing to get wrong: premium matte, pigment ink
• Print Only ships rolled in a rigid protective tube. Framed maps arrive assembled and ready to hang
• Place names in the shaded and mountainous areas are set in fine cartographic type. Up close on the larger sizes you can pick them out one by one; from across the room they settle into texture. If the lettering matters to you, choose the larger size.
• Room and frame photos are digital mockups made to show scale and colour. The frame you receive is a real moulding in the colour you choose, and wood grain and tone vary a little from piece to piece
• Printed colours sit a touch deeper and quieter than a backlit screen
