This staff can be shortened at no extra cost from the bottom of the stick, up to several inches if a different length is needed. Just mention in notes at time of purchase and height you want it. I found this walking stick and a few others in a wooded area near a creek here in Ballard County where I like to go hunting for different treasures... I always keep my eye open for sticks I can work into something useful and good looking and my favorites I have to say are the twisted sticks.

This sweet gum piece has 6 distinct twists starting just above midway and running down the staff. I have removed most of the outer layer of bark but I did leave it on the twists for the texture and contrast in color and just at the tip top of the staff. So you have pretty very light beiges to dark browns on this stick with a nice wood grain, along with its knicks, slight curves and a few knots giving it a unique look and character. It is a nice walking stick, real nice. And it feels very comfortable placing your hand on the smooth neck of the stick.

This staff is heavy duty but more a light to medium weight so easy to use. Very good looking, I did also add a light finish for protection and a little shine. I will include a rubber tip if requested. This will also be free priority shipping.
