For those of you who missed the fall garlic planting season, here is a way to salvage your season. This listing will only be available until mid-May or so.

This is for Transylvanian garlic, a softneck artichoke variety. It is a hot, spicy garlic with a wonderful aroma originating near Dracula's home. It normally forms very large bulbs with 10-16 cloves that will store for 6 months. A favorite among several of my customers, if for no other reason than the name.

Offered are 1000 garlic plants. These are plants that have been left in the ground for two or more years, so are small. In size they will be anywhere from just sprouting to many inches tall. They will form a small to mid-sized bulb this summer, and the following year should form full-sized bulbs if divided and grown correctly. They will be shipped bareroot by Priority mail to minimize mailing time and shock, and should be planted and well-watered as soon as they arrive.

The earlier in the season they are ordered, the shorter they will be and less shock they will go through. They can be planted as soon as the snow melts!

Get a jump on your bulb growth by ordering these already sprouted bulbs. Every year I ship out thousands of these. Shipping can take up to 7 days depending on weather.

I grow my garlic with no chemical pesticides or herbicides, and no manure fertilizers (to avoid ecoli). Fertilizers I use are a combination of leaves, fish emulsion, and/or seaweed extract.
