I have washed each item at least twice and have hung them dry. They may feel a little stiff or rough when you get them because of being hung dry. The first time you wash the item, I would wash in cold water and wash it by itself. These tie-dyes shouldn't bleed, but I would play it safe. These shirts are quality material and should hold up for a long time. I hand dry all of my own shirts. This prevents shrinking and helps retain vibrant colors for years to come. If I do dry my own stuff, I hang it dry first and then throw in the dryer with other wet clothes just to soften the tie-dye up. I am now experimenting with heat transfer designs. I recommend these are washed in cold water inside-out and hung dry.
