Custom and personalised orders

Returns on customised and personalised items are not accepted. Damaged items for free replacement must be reported within 3 days. It’s very unusual for an item to be damaged in transit, however glass by its very nature is fragile and on occasion can be broken on arrival. If this should happen, we will be happy to replace or refund when the buyer is able to provide a picture of the damage within 72 hours of receipt of your goods.

Your Engraving is it permanent?

Yes! We use a skilled sand- blasting technique (imagine a tattoo gun that blows air and special sand instead of ink) which results in a very permanent image on the glassware. It cannot be washed off, infact It will never be removed.

Do you use lasers or etching cream to decorate your products?

No, absolutely not! Whilst both of the above have their own advantages, we only ever use the best of the best authentic equipment to create and decorate our glassware. We have always believed that our tried and tested “done by hand” techniques give a much sharper, brighter more detailed engraving than a computer, laser, or etching cream ever could. We also believe that either laser engraving or etching creams are not strictly “hand made” where our process most definitely is!

All of our designs are traditionally engraved to order using a skilful sand engraving technique, giving a sharp, deeper feel to the design.
We never use computerised machinery, lasers or etching creams or sprays to decorate our products as we feel this takes away the “hand crafted” look and feel of the piece.
You will also see that the finished result is much cleaner, neater and brighter than etching or laser engraving would be.

We have been in the personalisation and decoration of fine crystal glassware for more than 35 years, providing the engraving service for Stuart Crystal, Royal Brierley, Waterford and even Lalique!

Whilst all current items in our shop are deemed to be dishwasher safe, we would always advise against it.
The salts and surfactants in dishwasher detergent can be abrasive over time, especially on our higher quality (crystalite and full lead crystal products) so we would always recommend that they are washed in warm soapy water and rinsed before next use.
