Custom and personalized orders

Many items are customizable. Certain pieces can be customized if you see a button within the listing that says "Request a custom order". Please feel free to contact us with any questions. NOTE: Most personalized or customized items do NOT qualify for a return. This includes, but is not limited to : -An item customized with an image provided by you -A My Moon item (unless it is an issue with the handiwork) -A piece was customized in a special size or length that differs from what is detailed in the listing (this includes sized sterling silver rings) -A design or item you requested made from images, designs, or materials not typically sold in our shop

Items that are in a set size cannot be resized, and those details can be found in the listing description. Items that have sizing options, or custom made in your size, can be found in a drop-down menu in the listing. Note: If an item is customized in your size, like a sterling ring, it does not qualify for a return.

All of our items are individually handmade with care, but are not 100% waterproof. Please be sure to remove your jewelry if you feel they may get wet (ie. washing your hands, showering, swimming, etc.) If an item is damaged by water, it DOES NOT qualify for a return or exchange. This information is clearly stated in every listing along with the care instructions you receive with your piece. If your piece has a shiny finish, storing it in a sealed plastic bag when not being worn will help significantly slow down the process of oxidation or tarnishing. If your piece does tarnish, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth or jewelry care cloth and a little elbow grease.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items that are not discontinued or on clearance arrive nicely wrapped in a gift box or decorative bag with care and artist information.

Why do you issue a restocking fee when I want a refund?

As is stated in our refunds policy and in every listing, we donate a portion of the proceeds to various organizations from the proceeds of our sales. We set this money aside at the time of purchase, and the restocking fee covers this donation. It is non-negotiable.

The word has origins in Japanese culture and has no exact English translation. But in short, it means "our awareness of our existence in the Universe that brings on feelings so profound that we cannot express them." This encompasses our vision in so many ways. We do our work humbled by the Universe every day - the beauty and expanse, the unknown and the known, the big and the small, the abstract and the very precise, the things we cannot comprehend and the things we know and understand so intimately that it makes life worth living. The people, the places, the experiences, the planet, the universe - the big, the small, it all adds up to yūgen.

What does not qualify for a return or exchange?

*An item that was damaged by water. *An item that was clearly determined to be tampered with or damaged purposefully. *An item customized with a moon phase from a date you provide (My Moon collection) *A piece was customized in a special size or length that differs from what is detailed in the listing (this includes sized rings) *An item you requested made from images or materials not typically sold in our shop (ie a 14k gold ring, a galaxy image not in our usual collection of available images, etc.) *An item on clearance. *An item that otherwise describes in the listing description that it does not qualify for an exchange or refund. All items that DO qualify for a return and a refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee. No exception

What organizations do you donate to?

We love giving back! A portion of the proceeds from our Galaxy Collection goes to the Planetary Society and our nebula rainbow items have a portion of the proceeds donated to the Rainbow Railroad.

I live outside of the USA - will I be charged duties and import fees? I don't want to pay them!

There is a good chance that you may get charged import duties/taxes if you live outside the USA. We do not have control over this. We will not mark packages as gifts or lie about the value to try and get around these laws on your behalf. We do not refund, reimburse, or hold any responsibility for any import charges. Packages that are returned to us because they were refused will not have the shipping cost refunded. If this does happen and you would like the item re-sent to you, you will be responsible to pay for the reshipment costs and any duties/taxes upon pick-up in your country. If you'd prefer a refund for the item, we do not refund shipping costs that were originally charged and the item will be subject to our 15% restocking fee.
