This is a dehydrated sourdough starter that will be ready to mix into your first batch of sourdough bread in 2-3 days. Inside each pouch is a tablespoon of my dehydrated sourdough starter that I created in December 2019 and have been baking with and sharing with students in my classes ever since.
My sourdough starter is well maintained and I use American grown and milled all purpose flour in my feeding and refreshing cycles. I test every batch to make sure that it will perform exactly as I advertise.
There are three stages to the dehydrated starter revival process: rehydrating the dehydrated starter, first feed, and a refresh that will include a second feed.

Please use within 2 weeks of receiving for optimal freshness, especially in hot weather. Dehydrated starters can degrade in quality over time and with exposure to heat.
