Not a big purchase but a very important one. This is the same hook that comes with the saori looms . This saori design is much better in helping you to thread easier then any other brand threading hook . i love the weight, length ,THE Balance also the shape of the hooks end . all the other manufacturers make the same flat crudely flat stamped out designed end that is used for over 100 years. there is no comparison to the Japanese design end of the saori hook. it threads so much faster!
you spend quite a bit of time with your threader while threading your heddles, with this nice wood handled threading hook it will be so much easier. You can use this heddle threading hook with any loom. look closly at the way the hook has been tapered and belved to make the action of grabing and sliding your warp threads through the heddle much easier than other hooks. It all adds up, a little bit here in there and soon your are making threading your loom easier. This new longer Saori threading hook feels just right, with a new well designed hook end a longer wood handle.

I was at a student's home teaching her how to thread her loom . She was using a well known other brand of threader and it would just not pick up the threads easily and it would split the warps. So I pulled out my saori threader for her to use and right away , success! So yes the right heddle threader DOES make a big difference!
please not i need to box these threaders carefully to prevent it getting bent in shipping .

Exactly as expected. Quality. I wanted to try for pin loom, but didn't work as well as I thought it might. But that has nothing to do with how well it would work for purpose intended.. As a native Cali girl, thrilled with Sees candy treat.
