Macrame bracelets are usually waterproof, however, over time, the wax threads of all bracelets will start to lose color and the bracelets will appear slightly discolored. This is a natural process. Miyuki bracelets are NOT waterproof. If you want to maintain their original color and qualities over time, please take them off before showering or swimming. To protect your bracelets take them off while sleeping and avoid bodylotions and perfumes.
