Handmade cubic ceramic incense stick holder inspired by natural layers of clay and tectonic plate movements. It is like taking a slice of earth on a miniature scale and having it at home to remind you of nature or a place you visited.

--- ~ DESCRIPTION ~ ---

For these incense holders I used a variety of different clays, they vary in colour and texture. I layered the clay in different proportions, mixed them with a marbling technique and cut them into unique shapes and sizes. The way they are cut creates rough textures, angled corners and small imperfections. In some areas the different clays pull apart from the tension and small cracks are formed, this also occurs naturally in the drying process of clay in the nature.

As you can see from the photos the technique of marble clays is very organic and every piece is different and unique. So, please note that you are ordering an item that is one of a kind and the shape and pattern of the piece you receive will be slightly different to the pieces you see in the gallery.

The item is easy to use and clean, it is stoneware clay and is therefore strong, durable and easy to wash. The surface is not porous.
