STAMP INFORMATION:
Name: State Birds & Flowers: Minnesota Common Loon & Showy Lady Slipper
Year: 1982
Face Value: 20 cents
History: On April 14, 1982 the USPS issued a set of stamps depicting the state bird and flower of each of the 50 United States. The birds and flowers were painted by father-son wildlife artists Arthur and Alan Singer. At the time of their issue, these stamps were the most popular in U.S. Postal history. This stamp features a watercolor picturing a Common Loon & Showy Lady Slipper, Minnesota's state bird and flower.

These highly collectable mint condition United States postage stamps have never been used for mailings. I only sell original issue unused USPS postage stamps that are not currently in circulation by USPS (out-of-print) and are at least 20 years old. Sold as rare and collectable, these un-circulated vintage postage stamps still carry their original face value.
