Always wondered, how do I get from one position to the other, when do I need to build in a vinyasa, where is my gazing point, how many breath counts do I take for this particular Asana?

This project to create a very detailed Ashtanga Primary Series Print comes from the bottom of my heart and was ignited when I joined an Ashram in India where I learned the beauty of Ashtanga. Once I got back home I had major issues remembering the sequences and ended up being highly frustrated. I would watch videos over and over but eventually decided there must be a better way. So I created this poster.

This poster shall guide you through the various sequences and give you detailed instructions on how to navigate you through this beautiful Mind and Body Therapy. I color coded the sequences so it is easier to follow along.
Yellow and Pink are the Sun Salutations, Purple the Fundamental Positions, Green the Closing Sequence and Blue is the actual Primary Series :)

Once you master the steps and the transitions in between, the Ashtanga Primary Series becomes an intuitive ritual.

I hope you are as motivated as me to take Ashtanga to the next level, regardless if you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner

This posters colors are so vibrant and beautiful. It’s like a work of art itself. I really love how it includes the breath count, and the Drishtis along with the opening mantra and the closing mantra. The only thing a little off about this poster is that it includes handstands, which are not in the primary series. Other than that, it’s gorgeous!

I'm so glad I found this poster! I was looking for some wall art to add to my yoga space that would inspire me and give me ideas to add into my practice, and this is exactly what I wanted.
