There are tons of cool things about living in Brooklyn -- the new Greenpoint ferry to Governor's Island, the Kent Avenue bike lane and of course, the great views. Also making the list are the seeming endless number of independent coffee houses and the burlap bags they're more than happy to recycle, many of which become....

These coffee sack storage benches. We make them using reclaimed wood and and recycled steel hairpin legs, the bags are attached over a 2" foam pad and stitched together at the seam, overall height is 20".

We keep an inventory of sacks but it's too difficult to photograph each and every one, so we ask that you send us your preferences when you order. Choices are:

1. Bags with colored graphics/text.
2. Bags with plain black graphics/no color.
3. Plain burlap, no graphics.

All items are handmade at the time of purchase, due to overwhelming demand we ask for 10-12 weeks lead time (rush orders available for an upcharge). You can pick-up from our workshop or you can choose delivery to NYC for $50-100 depending on location, message us your zip code for an accurate shipping quote. Due to overwhelming inquires, please allow 24-48 hours for a response.

Love my bench. I have a dresser from these guys too so I knew it would be awesome and it is. My cat loves it too, not sure yet if that is a good or bad thing... The only thing I would mention is that it actually has to be away from the wall a little to open so add an inch to the dimensions if you are tight on space. Can't comment on delivery because we picked up but they did an amazing job delivering our HEAVY dresser to the top floor of and owner occupied brownstone with all original woodwork in pristine condition. They were so careful, which I, and my landlord (and my security deposit) really appreciated.

The bench is great, but I have to mirror what other people have said. IT TOOK ME 14 WEEKS TO GET THIS BENCH. The sellers do really great work, but they've clearly grown quicker than they can fulfill orders. After going weeks without a response, I happened to actually see the sellers set up shop in Brooklyn, which was the only way I was able to get this bench delivered. Beautiful products, but beware that it may take months of headaches to get it.

The reason why I chose this bench is because I wanted to support craftspeople who are repurposing and living out their passions by utilizing their gifts and talents. I love this bench for the above reasons. Even more so, the bench is sturdy. We use it as am entryway bench. I love that the seat lifts up for storage. I gave four stars because I was told I would receive the bench within a certain time period -- 6-8 weeks I think? On the 8th week I contacted them to ask about my order to which I was told the bench was ready to ship, sorry for the delay, he had been sick and to accept a percentage discount on my next order. The discount should have been applied to the original order not a future order. I love my bench and it appears to be well made.
