Vintage 2 Tier Melmac Wheat Tidbit Tray- Melamine Serving Plate

WildrosePrimitives
5 out of 5 stars

Item highlights

  • Materials: Plastic, Wood
  • Vintage: From the 1950s

Seller's description

This is a 2 tier melmac tidbit tray that is in nice 1950's-1960's vintage condition. It has a white background with a subtle wheat design in tan and green. I didn't find any cracks or nicks in the melmac. The center wood pieces turn and turn but I could not get them to release from the plates as most tidbit trays do and the top plate always turns instead of being stationary. There is what looks like some water staining on the bases of the wood pieces which would be understandable if the serving dish doesn't come apart for washing. There is a little gold knob on top of the wood. It is about 9 in. high to the top of the wood post. The bottom plate measures about 10 inches in diameter and the top plate is 7 1/2 in.
