Description

Antique original drawers #7 - embroidered cotton Victorian split bloomers. Medium weight cotton split drawers with Victorian design that includes a ribbon channel to draw in the bottoms of the legs. Narrow drawstring waistband with twill tape string. Waist is 32" around not drawn. They are split almost up to the waistband both front and back and there is lots of bum room. The legs are straight and end well below the knee. They have a ribbon channel with openwork flower and vine embroidery on either side of it so they are meant to have the classic drawn in leg with the ruffle underneath that are seen on Victorian bloomers. Really fancy hand done scalloped edging. Waist to the edging is 23.5 front and 24 3/4" back. Leg is 21.5" around not drawn in. These bloomers are med sized with the 32" waist and probably a 36-38" hip (can only guess because of the split - there is give and take there). Darted at the waist. Condition is superb unused NOS - these have never been worn I am sure. Hard to date - but definately Victorian. Have you ever wondered what Victorian bloomers looked like? These are them! Wear them or pattern them to make authentic reproductions. $78
